Stayed there for 2 nights and had a great time. The staffs were very nice and some of them can speak English. Location just less than 10 minute-walk from Shinsaibashi area and train station. Don't for get to try Kimono for free and take photos!! Love it there!! ^^

Our stay here was wonderful. Staying in a ryokan is a must in Japan. The room is very cute. We had all the amenities we needed and above all, it felt very safe and secure. The staff are helpful and lovely.

Very good atmosphere. I will recommend it to others. The hotel is located in a safe area and inside the hotel it was very quiet and I felt safe. The hotel was not difficult to find. I visited tourist attractions like floating garden observatory and many others. Staffs' English were quite good and they were friendly.

Original is the word that would describe this hotel most accurately. I really felt that I spent a day like a Japanese. Fantastic! The room was traditional and comfy. Japanese PJ's were nice. Safe hotel just next to the market and very close to the castle. Very easy to find. Staff were very helpful and kind. Definitely recommended!!!:)

Lovely authentic atmosphere and a very nice escape from busy streets. Felt safe and very close to attractions/shops/railway. Staff were friendly. Staff who bought us hot water was lovely "Hugh Jackman". I loved our room! Lots of spare and fun sleeping in Japanese ryokan. Thank you:)

Yamatoya Honten is located near Dotombori street which in addition to being open 24 hours allows you to enjoy the night life. I came to Osaka to attend a concert and they were kind enough to allow me to send my tickets which allowed me to attend the concert.I had a feeling I would be back late, but it wasn't an issue as they are open 24 hours and I didn't have to worry about being locked outside or being a nuisance by coming back after hours.

The atmosphere was lovely. I've never stayed in a ryokan before. It was very traditional. I had no worries about safety. I love the location. The best! Shinasaibashi arcade is nearby and the area looks wonderful from the window at night. Staff was helpful and lovely.

Very nice hotel. We stayed in a Japanese-style room and loved it. Very cozy, clean and comfortable. Security deposit box was very useful. Hotel was easy to find and close to the station. Great location right opposite of Dotonbori which has really good places to eat. Staff were friendly and we got chopsticks as souvenir and got to wear kimonos which we really enjoyed. Definitely recommended!

The hotel is very well located right near all the atractions such as Shinsaibashi and Namba. My personal favourite is Dotonbori street. It pays to get lost in the area with lots of cultural goods to discover. Single room is small but is a good Japanese experience. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at Yamatoya Honten for 3 nights in August. It is a very recommendable ryokan. It has a good atmosphere and is so near from Dotonbori street that we could see it from our window. In every walking day we returned to the ryokan to relax before going out at night because it is in the middle of the night zone of Osaka. The staff was also nice and helpful.We also thank you very much for the tea pot and the hot water. It was always prepared.

To me, the Yamatoya Honten is the best hotel that you can find in the central area of Namba. After have stayed in few hotels in this area, I discovered the spacious Japanese-style room and nothing was missing; ie a large bathroom, fridge, yukatas(Japanese traditional clothes), secured storage facility and even the famous Japanese tea served everyday. The staff was so kind, always with a smile and very helpful. I really recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay.

Yamatoya Honten has great character from the moment I stepped out of the lift. I felt that this was truly a Japanese experience. Great food! Staff are extremely friendly and hospitable. Location is excellant, close to shops, attractions and bus/subway stations.

The location of the hotel is great, very close to a subway station so it's easy to get around. It has a very nice atmosphere and surpasses our expectations of Japanese-style hotels. The hospitality in this hotel was something. The hotel deposit boxes are very useful, there was nothing to worry about and the hotel was very safe. The staff were exceedingly so helpful, they helped whenever they could. Overall it was a great experience to be able to saty in a traditional hotel, especially with the classic Japanese breakfast.

It was a nice hotel. We liked the Japanese style room that didn't smell smoke. It was located in a very pleasant neighborhood but it was noisy in the morning even on the 6th floor. It was quite easy to find the hotel. It would be nice if we could of used the fridge for our own things.
