We really enjoyed the hot baths.

1211_arai.jpgWe really enjoyed the hot baths. Very good service. Great food. More information about the area would be appreciated. Perhaps some English sign showing the direction to the hotel.

Beautiful house, inside and out.

gyokoshoen0724.jpgBeautiful house, inside and out, overlooking the town. Welcoming, attentive staff, who speak English far better than I can speak Japanese. I would definitely stay here again. Only downside is the limited running hours(9am-4pm) of the nearest bus route.

The staff worked diligently and cheerfully to make our stay a wonderful experience.

gyokushoen.JPGThis is a very nice and traditional Japanese Inn. The small streams, koi-pond, rotenburo and spacious room made for a very pleasant stay. The entrance has a very authentic Japanese experience. The staff worked diligently and cheerfully to make our stay a wonderful experience.

The open air bathes were wonderful and the Kaiseki food and service was simply the very best.

tama_0323.gifThis was our first time to travel to Japan and our visit to Gyokushoen Arai was our first visit in a Ryokan. The room was traditional Japanese style architecture with a lovely view of Suruga Bay. The open air bathes were wonderful and the Kaiseki food and service was simply the very best. We were treated like royalty and higly recommend a visit here in Toi. Arigato.
