Staff was very attentive. The atmosphere of the hotel was very relaxing and calming. The greeting was nice on arrival. It was a wonderful part of our trip to Japan to stay in a ryokan. A truley Japanese experience.

We had a wonderful stay at your ryokan! The hospitality was awesome! The staff was really warm and helpufl; recommendations for things to do were great! We really enjoyed the scrumptious traditional breakfast. I've been to many ryokans, but Itsukushima truly will be a memorable experience because of the hospitality we've received and lovely meals!

Fantastic character with beautiful environment(garden and bath) and atmosphere. We would recommend it for its fantastic originality. We enjoyed the welcome, the nice room, the food, the silence, the bath and the friendliness of the staff a lot. There is a safety deposit in the room and we felt very safe! The location was good and easily found. Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. We felt really very good in the hotel and this was also because the staff were so attentive and knowledgable. Just perfect! Thank you!

The view from the hotel room, the fantastic food and the spa was very good. We found the place easily, the map was good. The staff did an amazing job on everything from explaining the food to creating a super nice atmosphere. It could be nice with an added "cold water bath" together with the hot onsen outside and inside. We had a very good time at your hotel!

The atmosphere of the hotel is good, a lovely garden and many different onsen, which is not to be found so easily. Free services such as massages, lemon water, etc. The staff is great! We had a very nice time talking with the waitress at the restaurant. We even got a free hour in a bath(private) due to our honey moon. Location is ok. Security is simply Japanese one, great! The only downside is the white neons in the restaurant that gives a gloomy atmosphere(warmer lights would be much better) and a newer TV!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Benten-no Yado Itsukushima in Miyajima. The location is great with beautiful views of the sea and right in the center of Miyajima. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated their English-speaking since we can only speak limited Japanese. The food was fabulous, among the best of any places. We’ve stayed our 3 weeks in Japan. In all we had a beautiful stay and would definitely recommend Benten-no Yado Itsukushima to anyone visiting Miyajima Island.

We could not have wished for a more enjoyable experience than the one we have had at Benten no Yado Itsukushima. The staff are fantastic and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room, tha bath and the food were by far the best we encountered during our trip to Japan. From and English/Western point of view the Ryokan is very unintimidating as the staff speak English quite well and take the time to explain how to wash that and where to dip this. A++

From our arrival we were treated with kindness. The beautiful lobby was very welcoming. The tatami mats of various colors give this ryokan an elegant look and feel. This is the most luxurious ryokan we have visited. Our room was very spacious. We felt very safe in the hotel and on the island. We took a taxi from the ferry port. Our driver was very knowledgeable and we arrived in less than ten minutes. Following dinner we walked through Omotesando shopping discrict to the floating torii and shrine. Both were breath-taking with illumination. All of the staff were very kind. We are not fluent in the Japanese language, but this was not a problem. We recommend this hotel for its beautiful atmosphere, friendly and kind staff and delicious meals.

The atmosphere is wonderful, we would highly recommend the Benten no Yado to our friends and family. The features we enjoyed the most were the gourmet meals and the baths. We felt very safe in the hotel and the entire island. There is plenty of room for all belongings and the safe deposit boxes are a plus. It was very easy to find your hotel and it's near to everything. We love Daishoin Temple and hiking to the top of Mt. Misen and just strolling the streets of Miyajima. The staff is so very helpful and accomodating. We thank you for making our stay so lovely.

We enjoyed so much our stay in your Ryokan. The staff is so friendly, helpful and has good English basis. The rooms are clean and full of character. Nice Japanese atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the private bath and the massage chairs are a pure delight(after climbing the Mt. Misen!). The meal was delicious and we had enough of it. The only thing we could "blame" is that the service is a little bit too fast for us European. Thank you so much for this unforgettable stay!

I would definately recommend this place to others. It has a wonderful atmosphere which immediately put us at ease. The entire facility is laid out and beautifully decorated from the moment we entered all the way to our rooms. This has been the highlight of my trip to Japan, by far. I especially liked walking outside to the bathhouse through the garden and seeing how beautifully sculpted everything was. We felt safe, secure and thoroughly relaxed the moment we arrived. We found the hotel quite easily as we could immediately see it from the ferry. From there it was a short walk through a very charming island village. The staff are the #1 best part about our stay. They were extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. They were each so kind and polite that I enjoyed the time with each very much. I will treasure my experience here for all time and fully expect to return the next time I come to Japan.

The ryokan has a really Japanese atmosphere. Highly recommended. There are safety deposit boxes for valuables and we felt safe while our stay there. We visited the Itsukushima Shrine and temples. We walked a lot but enjoyed the places. The staff was really good.

The ryokan has a very nice atmosphere. We arrived early (around 1pm). Although we could not check-in, our luggage was taken care of. Immediately we received clear information of Miyajima. Especially the information about Daisyoin Temple was useful. We did not know the history beforehand.
The staff is marvelous. They explained everything which was unknown for us. The dinner was excellent and the hot spring bath experience was unforgettable.

This was our first stay at a "ryokan" and we found it a fabulous cultual experience. The room was fantastic and the staff cold not have been more helpful.

We were blown away by the twelve courses for dinner, not to mention the variety served at breakfast. With this ryokan being only 5-10 mintues walk from the ferry, we would recommend to others.
