We ended our 9 day trip in Japan at this ryokan and stayed one night. We were helped by a very nice woman and she let us purchase breakfast for the next day, as we weren’t able to do it online. Others have mentioned that the rooms have a smoky smell, which we also noticed, but it was faint and seemed leftover from the days when smoking was allowed. We stopped noticing it after a while, so it wasn’t a big deal. The room came with a nice little sitting area where you could enjoy the provided cold tea and look over at the river. The location is amazing, as it’s right by Dotonbori. We took a train down from Kyoto, and it was pretty easy, and not very difficult to get to the airport either. As for cost, it’s on the cheap end for a ryokan, but a little pricy for a hotel.
Stayed at Kaneyoshi Ryokan, Namba Dotombori, Osaka.
