Loved staying here, wish it could have been for more than one night.

We wanted to check out the snow monkeys, relax in the onsen and enjoy a great meal. We did all three here. It’s a short walk to the snow monkeys and if you don’t have snow boots, the inn had some for you to borrow. The hot baths were awesome and there’s some outside, including one with both genders. The room was heated, and quite large and we had our own bathroom attached. The room is heated and the kaiseki meal was fantastic (not served in our room but in a main building but we had our own private room)- grilled fish, sashimi, soup, shabu-shabu…. and breakfast was equally wonderful (with the best apple juice ever). I slept in and missed the cut off time for the baths as they do close, for cleaning but they were nice enough to let me use it anyways. The owner and staff were very friendly and as we were checking out, it started to snow, so they gave us a lift to the near-by bus station. Loved staying here, wish it could have been for more than one night.
