Big, spacious traditional rooms and excellent service.

DSCF2602.jpgVery tasty meals, great location - right near Nara Koen. Big, spacious traditional rooms and excellent service. In particular, Nami was a delightful staff member. She spoke excellent English, and she went out of her way to help us and make us feel welcome.

The facilities were spotless and the staff were very helpful and kind.

Homeikan was my first port of call in Japan, and I was very impressed. Although it was quite difficult to find (the building doesn't have a sign), the facilities were spotless and the staff were very helpful and kind. I'm staying elsewhere in Tokyo later in my trip, but I'd definitely consider going to Homeikan if I was to return.

We slept very well in our clean and comfortable room

room_futon.jpgThank you for a wonderful stay. Everyone made us feel welcome and special. We ate until we were bursting and enjoyed a relaxing bath in your onsen. We slept very well in our clean and comfortable room. The next time we are in Miyajima, we will stay here again! :)

The atmosphere is calming, the staff work hard to make you feel relaxed.

Shibu Onsen Hotel is delightful. The moment you are met from the train station and you are welcomed at the front door of the hotel you know you are in for a treat. The atmosphere is calming, the staff work hard to make you feel relaxed- take tea after the private onsen, in the old school room at the front and water nightfall. The Japanese garden at the front is lit up and the waterfall in the background is so picturesque, a photograph doesn’t do it credit. We felt safe here, our belongings locked in the in room safe gives added security when traveling overseas. Using the public onsens also very safe. Monkey Park is best attraction in local area.
