We would recommend this hotel to our friends.

We would recommend this hotel to our friends. This hotel is friendly with a cozy family atmosphere. It would be convenient if there was a safety box in our room. Food is good. Staff are good too. In the center of all transportation. Great for ski & snowboarding. We did snowboard while we stayed there. The hotel is near the shuttle bus stop and ski lifts and even cable car. Perfect for our trip!

Charming Hostel and nice staff.

gasshoen_0110.jpgCharming Hostel and nice staff. Standard as expected since this is a reasonable priced ryokan with a genuine Japanese style bath.

We felt very comfortable here and enjoyed bathing in the onsen.

shibu_onsen0120.jpgAbsolutely amazing. Staff are so helpful and kind. Would recommend to everyone to stay at Shibu Hotel. Visiting the Monkey Park was a definite highlight. Shibu Hotel has a beautiful atmosphere, very traditional, room was very nice and spacious. We felt very comfortable here and enjoyed bathing in the onsen. Would love to come back here again one day!

We loved the feeling of being in a traditional setting - a bit like a living museum.

mukaitaki0131.jpgWe have had a most wonderful stay. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The building is beautiful and well maintained. We loved the feeling of being in a traditional setting - a bit like a living museum where you are part of the cultural experience, not just looking at it. The staff were very attentive, courteous and helpful. We appreciated the chef catering for our vegetarian diet with a delicious range of foods. We came here easily on public transport(bus and taxi) from Niigata. We would highly recommend a stay at Mukaitaki to our family and friends. Thank you for your preservation of this building and service.
