To me, the Yamatoya Honten is the best hotel that you can find in the central area of Namba.

0909yamatoya.jpgTo me, the Yamatoya Honten is the best hotel that you can find in the central area of Namba. After have stayed in few hotels in this area, I discovered the spacious Japanese-style room and nothing was missing; ie a large bathroom, fridge, yukatas(Japanese traditional clothes), secured storage facility and even the famous Japanese tea served everyday. The staff was so kind, always with a smile and very helpful. I really recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay.

We would highly recommend staying at Hida Gassho-en to complete a trip to Japan.

A really warm welcome on arrival made us feel comfortable straight away. We would highly recommend staying at Hida Gassho-en to complete a trip to Japan. It was great to have an en-suite option + the room was spacious, beautiful and clean. The dining room was stunning and both breakfast and dinners were fantastic. The staff were always on hand to help with any queries. Thank you!

For us wearing the traditional clothing while walking around the onsen was a highlight.

The Shibu Hotel is an amazing place to visit. After spending 2 months in Tokyo it is truly a place to recover. I will recommend the Shibu Hotel to all of my friends. For us wearing the traditional clothing while walking around the onsen was a highlight. Being picked up from the train was great and made us feel like we were going to have a great time from the get go. Thank you for recommending to us the place to eat, the tofu ramen was AMAZING!! We cannot wait to see the monkeys today.Thank you for all of your hospitality. We LOVED our night here.

We spent a very pleasant time there, and can nothing else as to recommend this place to everybody who seeks for a reasonable, lovely ryokan.

The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Although not all of them can speak english, there are at least 2 or 3 people who can, so communication is no problem. There are only few minutes walk to the next subway-station. And although the ryokan is in a nice, quiet living area, the tokyo dome is nearby. We spent a very pleasant time there, and can nothing else as to recommend this place to everybody who seeks for a reasonable, lovely ryokan.
