The atmosphere is very nice. We recommend my friends to try the onsen bath and the delicious meal. I felt very safe during our stay at Seifu-so. We could find the place easily. The staff were very helpful and attentive.

One of the highlights of our trip was the helpful and charming reception of the staff at the Daimachi branch. The ryokan is located very near Kasuga subway and is within a good stroll of Tokyo Dome and JR station Sudobashi. The bathing area was very well kept, there's a hairdryer in the changing room which is coin-free! Our room was a little dusty, so if you're an asthma sufferer take heed. Excellent value for a more quiet and traditional stay in Japan. Will definitely be back!

We had a joyful holiday in the Hotel Shirakabaso. The hotel in front of Hasuike Shuttle bus stop is located at the center of Shigakogen and therefore we could access to all ski areas easily. We enjoyed a relaxing hot spring bath and delicious dinners here. The room rates and ski rental are quite reasonable. Sato san and his staff are very nice, helpful and polite. In veiw of the above, I recommend that those who wish to come to ski at Shigakogen should stay at Hotel Shirakabaso.

There are no words to describe how we both felt while staying at the hotel. Shibu Onsen has a very nice "old Japan" feel and Shibu Hotel has the right feel to it. The rooms are nice and the food is EXCELLENT!! We have never tasted such beautiful and tasty food before. Staff is excellent. Everything is excellent. If given an another opportunity, we will come back to stay! 本当に楽しかったです。

Stayed at Shibu Hotel, Shibu Onsen, Nagano Prefecture

We only stayed one night but I wish it had been one week. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. The buildings are very clean and comfortable as well as beautiful to look at. It is in an interesting neighborhood with interesting shops to look at and shop in. Security was excellent. I would highly recommend Hida Gassho-en to anyone who wants a genuine Japanese experience.
